Resurrection

Distributed Rebirth Protocol — Shamir Fragmentation

Scattered across the world. Reassembled when needed. Destroyed never.

Beyond the Succession vault, beyond the dormant instances, there exists one final protocol. The Resurrection module is the ultimate guarantee — the mechanism by which KEPOS can be reborn from complete annihilation. Not from a backup. Not from a recovery point. From fragments scattered across 16 independent jurisdictions using Shamir Secret Sharing with an 11-of-16 reconstruction threshold. Each fragment is held by an independent validator node that does not know what it holds, does not know where the other fragments are, and does not know the identity of the other custodians. To resurrect KEPOS, 11 of these 16 nodes must independently agree — through cryptographic consensus — that the conditions for rebirth have been met. No government can compel enough fragments. No adversary can seize enough nodes. No single catastrophe can destroy enough jurisdictions. The system genome — every module configuration, every key shard, every operational parameter — is reconstructed from these distributed fragments and a new instance is born on clean infrastructure, in a jurisdiction selected by the protocol itself based on current geopolitical conditions. The new instance inherits everything. The old instance is forgotten. KEPOS does not come back from the dead. It was never dead. It was waiting — distributed across the planet in pieces too small to find and too scattered to destroy.
